Oregon Peak lookout tower is located in Northern Yuba County near Bullards Bar Reservoir.

The facility is equipped with a 65- foot steel frame Aermotor tower built in 1935.

Community volunteer teams staff the tower during peak fire season, typically June through November.

  • Finding accurate compass bearings
  • Detailed map reading
  • Identification and reporting of smoke, fire or adverse weather conditions
  • Are just a few of the tasks our volunteers are trained to perform.
