The Yuba County Foothills Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) 2025 is a collaborative wildfire-preparedness effort covering the foothill communities of Yuba County, California. It outlines a data-driven strategy to reduce wildfire risk by combining hazardous fuel reduction, defensible-space education and enforcement, ladder-fuel and roadside-vegetation management, and improvements to evacuation routes and emergency infrastructure. The plan emphasizes long-term forest health and resilience, promoting forest thinning, prescribed burning, and updated local codes and policies to minimize ignition risks, and aims to secure funding for equipment, training, and operational support through local, state, and federal partnerships. It also integrates community input, stakeholder collaboration, and mapping tools to prioritize mitigation efforts in the most vulnerable zones.
