Volunteer Positions Needed
Table at Community Events/Farmer’s Markets – Support the Outreach Coordinator by assisting at community events or farmers’ markets. Help engage with the public, provide information, and promote local initiatives to raise awareness and build community connections.
Create Address Signs – Apply number stickers to signs
Cut, Brand, and Wrap Tow Chain Covers – Prepare tow chain covers by cutting, branding, and wrapping them for distribution.
Assemble Fire Safe Information Packets – Organize flyers and resources into folders for easy distribution.
Distribute Tow Chain Covers, Address Signs, or Other Resources – Deliver essential items to designated pickup locations throughout the foothills. Mileage reimbursement is available.
Community/Firewise Meetings –Assist in coordinating and promoting meetings in your fire district including: secure the venue, distribute fliers, announce at other functions in your area.
Host or Participate in Community Workdays – Join efforts to improve community safety and resilience by hosting or taking part in organized workdays. Activities may include clearing vegetation, fire prevention projects, or other community-focused tasks.
Community Fire Mitigation Advisor – Conduct mitigation reviews to assist residents in making fire safe upgrades to their homes and properties. Training provided.
Tool Trailer Transport – Responsible for the delivery and pickup of the tool trailer at designated locations. A vehicle capable of towing is required. Mileage reimbursement is available.
Host a Banner – Display a Yuba Fire Safe banner at your residence to help promote fire safety awareness.
